About SERVO Prime 46
IOCL describes Servoprime oils as premium turbine oils made with superior hydrotreated base stocks, with exceptional thermal and oxidation stability, excellent demulsibility, good air release and resistance to foaming. They are recommended for steam, gas and hydraulic turbines and for hydraulic systems that need a long-life oil. IOCL lists IS:1012-2002, BS 489, GE GEK 27070, Siemens (KWU) TPS 9013 04 and GEK 28143A, GEK 32568C and BHEL turbine oil requirements.

Selection advice
Use VG 46 where the turbine OEM specifies it, typically lower-speed steam and hydro sets. Geared turbines may need the anti-wear Servoprime 46 T. Never top up a turbine with a hydraulic or gear oil.
