About SERVO Way 68
IOCL describes Servoway oils as containing tackiness, anti-rust and anti-foam additives. These allow higher machine-tool loading, minimise stick-slip and chatter, and give a better surface finish on the job. They protect against rust, and their good adhesion reduces oil consumption. Recommended for slideways of planers, grinders, horizontal boring machines, shapers and jig borers doing high-precision work, and for oil-can lubrication of gears.

Selection advice
Use VG 68 for horizontal ways and Servoway 220 for heavily loaded or vertical/inclined ways. If one oil must serve both the hydraulics and the ways, IOCL lists the Servoway H range as a combined hydraulic-and-way oil for non-critical systems.

It is an ISO VG 68 slideway oil meeting Cincinnati Machines P-47, the same requirement usually quoted for Mobil Vactra Oil No. 2 and Shell Tonna S2 M 68.
Not as a rule. Servoway is formulated for slideways. For machines with a combined hydraulic-and-way system, IOCL lists Servoway H oils, which are not recommended for critical hydraulic systems.
