SERVO System 68 Anti-Wear Hydraulic Oil (ISO VG 68)
SERVO System 68 (IOCL name: Servosystem 68) is IndianOil's premium anti-wear hydraulic and circulation oil in the ISO VG 68 viscosity grade — the most widely used grade for presses, injection moulding machines and hydraulic power packs running warm.

About SERVO System 68
IOCL describes Servosystem oils as premium anti-wear lubricants made with hydrotreated base stock, recommended for hydraulic and circulation systems across a wide variety of equipment and also used for compressor crankcase lubrication. IOCL notes they are not recommended for turbines or for equipment with silver-coated components. They pass the Vickers V-104C vane pump test and meet IS:10522-1983 (Reaffirmed 2004) and IPSS 1-09-002.
Applications
- Hydraulic presses and power packs in auto-ancillary and fabrication plants
- Plastic injection moulding and blow moulding machines
- Machine-tool hydraulics that run warm (oil 50–65 °C)
- Circulation systems for plain and anti-friction bearings
- Compressor crankcases (as permitted by the compressor OEM)
Selection advice
Pick ISO VG 68 when the system runs warm or the pump OEM calls for a heavier oil. Common cases are presses and moulding machines in hot sheds, and systems that sit at 55 °C or more. If the machine starts cold and runs cool, or the OEM specifies VG 46, a thicker oil only adds friction and slows the pump. Read the hydraulic oil 46 vs 68 guide before you switch.
Need DIN 51524 Part 2 (HLP)? IOCL lists DIN 51524-2, Denison HF-0 and Cincinnati approvals against Servosystem HLP 68, not against Servosystem 68. If your pump manual or a Shell Tellus / Mobil DTE equivalence calls for DIN 51524-2, order the HLP grade.

Based on each manufacturer's published data, SERVO System 68 (or the SERVO grade named on each page) is the IndianOil match for:
- Shell Tellus 68 equivalent — Shell
- Mobil DTE 26 equivalent — Mobil
- Castrol Hyspin AWS 68 equivalent — Castrol
- Shell Tellus S2 MX 68 equivalent — Shell

SERVO System 68 – FAQs
IOCL specifies a kinematic viscosity of 62–74 cSt at 40 °C for Servosystem 68, with a minimum viscosity index of 95 and a minimum flash point (COC) of 210 °C.
No. Both are ISO VG 68 anti-wear hydraulic oils, but IOCL lists DIN 51524 Part 2, Denison HF-0, US Steel 127 and Cincinnati P-69/P-70 performance against Servosystem HLP 68. Servosystem 68 is listed against IS:10522 and the Vickers V-104C pump test. Choose HLP 68 when the OEM calls for DIN 51524-2 HLP.
Institutional prices move with IOCL price revisions, so we quote on the day. Send your quantity (barrels or pails) and delivery district and we will reply with a GST-inclusive quote and the dispatch date from Bidadi or Tumakuru.
Yes. We share IOCL's product data sheet and safety data sheet with your quotation, and a batch test certificate with the supply. The key specification limits are also printed on this page.
