About SERVO Mesh SP 150
IOCL describes Servomesh SP oils as premium industrial gear lubricants with excellent thermal and oxidation stability, good demulsibility and low foaming, and rust and corrosion protection. They are recommended for all heavy-duty enclosed gear drives, with circulation or splash lubrication, running under heavy or shock loads at up to 100 °C. They can also be used for plain and roller bearings, sliding surfaces, chain drives, sprockets and flexible couplings that need an EP oil.

Selection advice
VG 150 is used where pitch-line speeds are higher or loads are moderate. Moving up one grade to Mesh SP 220 is the usual fix when a heavily loaded box shows wear. Moving down is rarely right unless the OEM specifies it.
