SERVO Mesh SP 680 (Servomesh SP 680) is the heaviest mainstream grade of IndianOil's Servomesh SP extreme-pressure gear oils, for very slow, very heavily loaded enclosed drives.

About SERVO Mesh SP 680
IOCL describes Servomesh SP oils as premium industrial gear lubricants with excellent thermal and oxidation stability, good demulsibility and low foaming, and rust and corrosion protection. They are recommended for all heavy-duty enclosed gear drives, with circulation or splash lubrication, running under heavy or shock loads at up to 100 °C. They can also be used for plain and roller bearings, sliding surfaces, chain drives, sprockets and flexible couplings that need an EP oil.

- Very slow, high-torque reducers such as mill, mixer and kiln drives specified for VG 680
- Gear units in high ambient heat
- Heavily loaded plain bearings and slides needing a heavy EP oil
Selection advice
Use VG 680 only where the OEM specifies it. In faster boxes it raises churning losses and sump temperature. For worm gears, check the OEM. IOCL lists compounded Servocyl C 680 for worm gears.
