SERVO Equivalent of Shell Tellus 68
If your drum or manual says Shell Tellus 68, the SERVO replacement is Servosystem HLP 68. It is an ISO VG 68, DIN 51524 Part 2 (HLP) anti-wear hydraulic oil. For general anti-wear duty without a DIN requirement, Servosystem 68 is IndianOil's standard grade.

About Shell Tellus 68
“Shell Tellus 68” is the name many plants still use for Shell's ISO VG 68 anti-wear hydraulic oil. The grade has been sold over the years as Tellus 68, Tellus S2 M 68 and now Tellus S2 MX 68. The current product conforms to DIN 51524 Part 2 HLP and ISO 11158 HM.

Changeover checklist
- Confirm the pump/valve OEM requirement: viscosity grade and any named approval such as Denison HF-0, Eaton or Bosch Rexroth.
- Mineral anti-wear hydraulic oils of the same class are generally compatible for top-up. For a full change, drain the tank, lines and actuators as far as practical.
- Replace or clean filters and the suction strainer. Flush if the old oil was degraded or contaminated.
- Refill through a filter cart and bleed air. Check for foaming and seal weeps in the first days.
- Take a baseline oil sample after about 50 running hours for trend monitoring.
